2015年より、韓国で活動を始めた陶器ブランド・Brightroom。手づくりの楽しさと、その過程で生まれる想いを作品に込め、人々に届ける活動をしています。作品を通じて、幼少期の色あせた思い出や、大切だった日常のひととき、そして一度きりの旅の記憶を記録しているのだそう。手作業だからこその画一的ではない形や絵付けが味わい深く、部屋の中で静かに、そして優しく輝いてくれることでしょう。

◆ 初めて制作した作品を教えてください！！

I once created an object inspired by traveling along a beautiful seaside with my dog. A customer bought it, and sometime later, they reached out to me. They told me that whenever they looked at it, it reminded them of the happy times they had shared with their own dog, and they wanted to thank me for that.

Hearing those words made me realize something. A small piece of my own memories could reach someone else and become something deeply precious to them. That was the moment I knew I wanted to create work that people could hold close to their hearts.

以前、愛犬と一緒に美しい海辺を散歩した体験からインスピレーションを得て、ある作品を作りました。それを購入してくださったお客さまから、しばらくして連絡をいただきました。「この作品を見るたびに、自分の愛犬と過ごした幸せな時間を思い出します。ありがとう。」と。

その言葉を聞いて、私自身の思い出のかけらが誰かの心に届き、その人にとってかけがえのないものになるのだということに気づかされました。その瞬間「誰かの心にそっと寄り添えるような作品を作りたい」と強く思うようになったのです。
